Ghost Defense

How to Play Ghost Defense

Ghost Defense is a Pac-Man-themed typing game where you escort Pac-Man through a maze by typing words to defeat approaching ghosts! Pac-Man moves automatically along a predefined path, eating dots as he goes. Your job is to protect him by typing the words that appear above each ghost.

Game Controls:

  • Type ghost words: Start typing any ghost's word to lock on
  • Complete the word: Finish typing to destroy the ghost
  • Keep typing: Active typing keeps Pac-Man at full speed
  • Avoid typos: Mistakes slow Pac-Man down temporarily

Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Pac-Man follows a zig-zag path through the maze automatically
  • Ghosts spawn from the edges and move toward Pac-Man
  • Type the first letter of a ghost's word to lock on to it
  • Once locked on, complete the word to destroy the ghost
  • The game prioritizes ghosts closest to Pac-Man when targeting
  • Each dot Pac-Man eats earns 10 points
  • Defeating ghosts earns 100 points plus a bonus for word length
  • If a ghost reaches Pac-Man, you lose a life and the level resets

Scoring System:

  • Dots: 10 points each
  • Ghosts: 100 points + 10 per letter in the word
  • Score persists across lives and levels
  • Aim for the highest total score across all levels

Level Progression:

  • Complete a level by having Pac-Man eat all dots on the path
  • Each new level features a longer, more complex path
  • Ghosts move faster and spawn more frequently
  • Words become longer and more challenging
  • You have 3 lives to survive as many levels as possible

What Skills Does This Game Train?
